Here you can see how rammed earth panels can appear lighter or darker depending on where you place them. These panels encapsulating the window appear much darker when shrouded in shade, but are the same color as all other panels in this project.

MALIBU BEACH HOME

This large Malibu home went through an overhaul by interior designer Nicole Gordon and architect Mathieu Ribaut. “How do we open it up and make it feel connected to the outside?” Ribaut questioned. We feel the rammed earth panels used in this home contributed to bringing the outdoor/sandy environment into the home.

You’ll note they opted for a butt joint on the end and that our panels still allow for clients to mount items onto the wall because our panels can be drilled through in the field. You’ll notice a faint seamline halfway up the fireplace, as our max panel height is 5’ H, these are two panels stacked on top of each other to get to the total room height.
